• Conducts membership meetings where members exchange information, and the association develops strategies, adopts positions, and conducts other business
• Sponsors consensus building conferences
• Supports the development of training curriculum and program guidance
• Mentors new state long-term care ombudsmen
• Engages in systems advocacy to influence federal policy to benefit long-term care residents
